The Power of Prayer

Prayer is a remarkable phenomenon.  It is unlike any other form of communication.  For many, prayer is nothing more than a wish: that "thing" we do when we blow out the candles on our birthday cake or see a shooting star.

But, prayer is not wishing.  It is responding to an invitation of One who loves us; One who gave His very life for us.

  • Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV) |  "‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’"
  • Job 22:27a (NIV) | "You will pray to him, and he will hear you...." 
  • Matthew 7:7-11 (NIV) | 7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 “Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!"
  • 1 John 5:14 | "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him." 

Prayer is very difficult for many to understand. Our "text-messaging, 4-G world" does not readily lend itself to a Biblical understanding of prayer.  Too often, we approach God in prayer as though we were ordering online, or placing our dollar in a vending machine.

God, however, is more interested in us knowing Him, loving Him, experiencing relationship with Him on the deepest lever, than answering a specific prayer.  The Psalmist expressed the principle in Psalm 37:4:

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart."

Let us pray with you.  Whatever issue or struggle you are facing, let us pray that God will move on your behalf.  We would count it an honor to do so.

Prayer for my Best Friend and Family

Please pray for my Best Friend. He has been struggling with keeping sober, having a change of heart and is eye on you Lord. His Faith is weak. He was arrested and in jail for who knows how long. I know his Best interests are in your hands Lord. Help him by your grace to hear your word and let this be the end of this cycle for him. Give him strength. Praying for me and my kids that we can be comforted right now as well. This burden is getting to heavy and I need strength.

Please Pray my soul mate has already been prepared for me and I have already been prepared for my soul mate.Pray GOD unites me and my soul mate together real soon by any means necessary .Never been on a date or ever had a girlfriend and been Praying and hoping for this for at least 18 years. i will be 40 years old on March 31...Prov 13:12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick, but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life..Thanks for Praying.

Please Pray my soulmate has already been prepared for me and I have already been prepared for my soulmate.Pray GOD unites me and my soulmate together real soon.Never been on a date or ever had a girlfriend and been Praying and hoping for this for at least 18 years...Prov 13:12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick, but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life...Pray everyone who has Prayed for me to get a soulmate in the past years,GOD will remind those people to Pray for me to get a soulmate over and over again and again.Pray GOD will lead many people to see this Prayer Request and Pray GOD puts it in their hearts to Pray for this Prayer Request....Phil C.
